Digital signature: clearer, completer, faster, better.

No more scribbling on delivery notes. A portable computer screen is available on which the receiver together with the driver follows a clear options menu, enters the details and then, finally, uses a plastic pen to make a digital signature. The ‘digital delivery note’ has recently been introduced by Huisman. This unique system has several advantages for our customers which can be described in four words: clearer, completer, faster, better.

Clearer
The person signing digitally enters his name himself, so there can no longer be any discussion about who has signed for receipt. Uncertainties about the correctness of a delivery are also a thing of the past. If there are discrepancies, they can easily be registered by the recipient. If there are no remarks then the message ‘correct receipt, no remarks’ is displayed automatically.

Completer
With digital signing you have the certainty that all the details needed for the administrative handling of the order are actually supplied because certain mandatory fields have to be filled in before the signing can take place. Thus, it is no longer the case that some things are missed ‘by accident’. Furthermore, we can add or delete menu items so that our system is fully adapted to your method of working.

Faster
The faster we can handle the administrative side of your shipments, the faster you can send an invoice. With the digital signature system we no longer need to wait until the driver hands in his papers at the end of the week before we can enter the details in our database. That happens automatically, at the moment when the driver puts the screen into its holder in the vehicle. Moreover, we are now always able to inform you, real time, about the status and progress of your orders.

Better
Discussions with customers always costs time, don’t they? The digital signature system puts an end, once and for all, to the free interpretation of the CMR delivery note. Because we work with a large, clear screen, recipients can see exactly what they are signing for. What is more, at last, thanks to the real-time digital availability of the order details, it is now possible to integrate that final little bit of the logistics chain into your total business process.
